Áptera N.1

Since 2016, Spanish artists Raquel Vidal and Pedro Paz have been creating one-of-a-kind sculptures by hand under the moniker CANOA out of their studio in Valencia. Of their creations they say their work is "not defined by a concrete movement but is shaped by the sum of them, as a kind of palimpsest."   Handcrafted in Spain by CANOA, Aptera N. 1 is a sculptural stoneware vase with brass detailing: a rustic textured dramatic centerpiece with a timeless feel. This glazed stoneware vase with brass details is a fusion made possible using unique foundry and metal processes for a piece that feels somehow ancient, timeless, and modern at once.   This piece is made to order.
