Diamond Vessel

Part of a limited series created exclusively for ARJÉ, this abstract modern geometric vase is a one-of-a-kind piece that brings an element of texture and shape to any space. Made-to-order by hand in Helena, Montana using a few tools, each of Giselle Hicks's graphic vessels are shaped, dried, fired; cooled, sanded, washed, and glazed: you can see the resulting textures in the finished clay.   "I have always been interested in the domestic space and how our experiences within the home—a space of intimate exchange—affect and define how we live outside of our homes," says Hicks. This functional diamond, done in a matte Anthracite Black, measures eight-and-a-half inches by seven inches—perfectly sized to hold a tiny bouquet of flowers or branches, or as an accent piece alongside the rest of the series.
