Each of Nordic Knots designs are handmade in small batches by artisan weavers, designed using a variety of textures and graphic art, each with its own personality—a true staple in any home.   This modern artisan hand-woven rug was created by Danish contemporary artist Carsten Beck Nielson in Stockholm, and crafted by hand from soft New Zealand wool in India. No color has been used to create the pattern, instead contrast is achieved by combining a flat-woven canvas with a plush hand-knotted pile.   Knot-by-knot the rugs are made slowly—the artisanal way.
