One of the most famous paintings usually found in Egyptian homes and mosques. Egyptian Papyrus Paper Our papyrus paper is handmade in Egypt from the inner stem of the finest Cyperus Papyrus plants. Our suppliers responsibly grow their own plants, then use the inner stems to make the thin strips form which the final papyrus sheets are formed. The sheets are formed by arranging the strips side by side in two cross layers, then soaking them in water for six to twelve weeks. The sheets are then hammered to squeeze out the remaining water, dried, then polished and cut to size.
