Our suppliers responsibly grow their own plants, then use the inner stems to make the thin strips form which the final papyrus sheets are formed. The sheets are formed by arranging the strips side by side in two cross layers, then soaking them in water for six to twelve weeks. The sheets are then hammered to squeeze out the remaining water, dried, then polished and cut to size. The result is an exquisite natural cotton like, yet slightly textured
