It incorporated a strong blade for the aggressive fighting depicted in combat traditions such as Fiore and Lichtenauer. A sword of this type needed to be dynamic not only in the half sword and winding actions of these styles but have a sharp edge excellent at cutting. This particular sword brings all these elements together into a very well rounded weapon. The broad blade has a tapering diamond cross-section that gracefully curves to the point in the lower portion of the blade.The intensity of combat such as the Battle of Towton would have been the test of such a sword as this.
