Czech Army 'German WW2' Y-Strap Suspenders
Original German WW2 Y-straps are hard to come by (and expensive!). Many other militaries roughly copied their design postwar and since then many of these have been used as 'German fakes' - that is exactly what these are. Original Czech Army suspenders, these have been shoe polished black and had the metal parts removed and replaced with D-rings and hooks a bit more similar to the original. Apart from the sharp reenactor/history buffs eyes, at a arms length these look right in place on a WW2 film set. That is where we believe a good number of these have been and made their way here! Functionally, these work exactly the same as their German WW2 counterpart. Small differences such as some cuts of leather parts, stitching placement and 'fish scale' patterned leather are among the main visual differences.
