Patchouli (Pogostemon cabin)

A perennial, bushy plant that grows up (3 feet) high, with a sturdy, hairy stem and large, fragrant, furry leaves, about four inches long and five inches across. It has whitish flowers tinged with purple. Blends well with: Bergamot, frankincense, geranium, ginger, lavender, lemongrass, myrrh, neroli, rose, rosewood, sandlewood and ylang ylang. Patchouli is a great essential oil to work with when doing spiritual work. Patchouli reduces anxiety and depression and produces a warming and sensual feeling.In history it was used for its strong earthy aroma and exotic fragrance as a perfume.*Generally non-toxic, non-irritant.*
