Flow Mandala - Red | Iridescent 3D Original Textured Painting

Original, one-of-a-kind artwork. Flow Mandala - Red is an exploration of warmth, vitality, and disciplined repetition. Created entirely freehand through my practice of meditative piping, each line and dot is applied in heavy-body acrylic to build a sculptural surface that rises from the canvas. The elongated 12x24 format offers a unique sense of movement, allowing the eye to travel through the intricate geometric landscape. Rooted in South Indian henna-style patterns and kolam traditions, this work translates ephemeral ritual art into a permanent, tactile experience. At the heart of the composition lies a luminous center of dichroic glass and miniature mirrors, which act as anchors for the vibrant red and metallic forms radiating outward. The use of iridescent and metallic pigments ensures the work shifts dynamically with the changing light of the day.
