Classic Period, Ca. 500 to 800 AD. a fine buff brown color molded pottery standing dwarf figure, holding both hands to the belt of his loincloth. Wearing a fancy applied headdress with beaded and textured decoration, ear spools, a lower face mask long paneled loincloth and a large shell pendant necklace. Some remaining traces of red and white surface pigment. Scattered mineral deposits and areas of encrustation. Whistle incorporated in the rear base.  A nice specimen.Size:    4-3/8”H. x 2”W.Provenance:   Ex. collection of Nancy and John Hyde Devoe, NYC. and N.J., active 1950’s - 1970’s.
