Sino Tibetan Cast bronze Seated Monk

 Ca. 19th to 20th Century AD.  A cast and painted ornate figure of the deified 14th century Buddhist philosopher monk, Je Tsonghapa, who was an admired leader and became canonized in writing and in visual form. He is depicted seated wearing a red hood, in a meditative pose on a lotus base.  Size 3-3/8 inches H. Ex Pennsylvania Private Collection.
