Maybe in front or behind. There is light and something that blocks the light. This is the shadow. In this painting Sun Shadow the light is the silver leafing and the shapes are casting a shadow creating the vibrant colors. I have combined this shadow of color with a texture I create on the canvas with molding paste. This brings a dimension to the painting inspiring movement around the canvas.” — Christina Sodano
