Larry the Line, the Book!
During my first year of teaching elementary art, I wrote a little poem to help my students learn the names of LINES, an important element of art. The poem was called Larry the Line. I'm excited to share that Larry the Line has now expanded from a once-short poem to a children's book that I have written and illustrated. Inside the pages of this 8.5" X 11", 42-page children's book, you'll learn all about LINES in a fun, catchy, and rhyming way. The bright and bold illustrations will allow students to easily understand and learn. Lines are introduced with their characteristics explained such as, "A vertical line goes up and down, it stretches from the sky down to the ground. Vertical lines are strong and stable, like the sides of a building and the legs of a table!" I illustrated the book with large, bright, and bold drawings so it could be enjoyed on the lap of a child or shown around the room to a classroom of students. So whether you are a parent, grandparent, or guardian of a child
