"Blue Lava" Acrylic Pour

Double Canvas Collection Dimensions: 10"L x 20"H each canvas.  This piece features very strong colors: Deep Blue, Navy Blue, Hot Magenta, Bright Orange, and a touch of Metallic Silver. It also has a very high-gloss, smooth finish. I wanted to create a piece that resembled lava flowing in an unconventional way. Because, well, most things in life are unconventional, even people.  Often times, when people think of lava they envision bright orange, red, and yellow variations because that is what we are 'used' to seeing and we unconsciously relate those colors with heat. We have grown custom to seeing what we want, think we know, and what's comfortable for us to see. The truth is, on a heat scale, BLUE is actually much hotter than reds and yellows. Just because we arent used to seeing blue in lava, doesnt mean that it CANT. I think it is important to appreciate the concept that things in life have more than one side, view, or meaning. Because we can't always see things for what they are a
