About this wine: Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron is a leading Pauillac 2éme Cru Classé estate, one of Bordeaux's most illustrious "super seconds". In 1987 it was bought by the AXA Millésimes Group, who also own Cantenac-Brown, Petit-Village, and Suduiraut. The Estate was founded in the late 17th century, and in In 1850 the property was divided in two: Baron Raoul Pichon de Longueville's section became the Pichon-Baron estate, while the second section, belonging to his three sisters, became Pichon Comtesse. Pichon-Longueville Lalande is a 75-hectare property that produces on average 36,000 cases per year.
