2 ft hand braided oval rug

Hand braided area rugs from recycled textiles for warm, comfy, eco-friendly decor!This rug is hand braided from salvaged vintage fabric in a beautiful burgundy and brown color palette. It measures approximately 24 inches across at the wide part of the oval, 21 inches at the narrower part. The braid tension is flexible and more on the loose side.The rugs are all hand braided by myself, inspired by the world around me. The color story for each is one of my favorite elements, combining vibrant with subdued, traditional fabrics with more surprising patterns. I have had a long love affair with rag rugs. The humble nature of the rag rug seems at odds with the beautiful finished product. I've purchased many myself, and in fact began learning this braiding technique because my toddler at the time found one of my favorite rag rugs and decided to take it all apart!
