Shot a few months after the Malibu fire, it was a glimmer of hope amongst a sea of tragedy to find that La Salsa man had survived. Standing 22 feet high, overlooking PCH, La Salsa Man dates back to 1960 when he was originally the Frostie Freeze Soda Jerk on top of the then Frostie Freeze. Converted to La Salsa Man in 1988. He's been standing tall and watching over Malibu ever since.
