Hand Carved Table - Inlaid with Mother of Pearl.

The table is a combination of the finest craftsmanship and materials. The table has been carved, lightly lacquered to preserve the original color of the wood, and finally inlayed with Mother of Pearl.  It took two master craftsmen with decades of experience to carefully select the suitable materials and up to four hundred man hours to create a single table. Each one of the thousands of carvings was done by hand.  The table is made out of walnut. Walnut is one of a few kinds of woods that can take intricate carvings. It is well known for its high strength, durability, and its lovely chocolate like color. The carvings are a form of the ancient art of Naqsh (نقش), a complex geometric art form that involves engraving intricate patters onto hard surfaces.
