To add astringency, please read last paragraph below WHY USE OUR BALANCING TONER? Because our skin is in a constant struggle to maintain a balanced pH. The acid mantle (the protective film that sits on top of the epidermis) has a pH ranging between 4.5 and 5.5 for both skin and hair – slightly acidic. The damage caused by alkaline skin and hair products, sunlight, bad diet and excessive sweating can strip away this protective film and damage the epidermis. The skin is left feeling tight and dry, causing it to try and repair itself by producing excess sebum to compensate for the dryness. This practice overworks our skin, causing it to live in a vicious cycle of being tight and dry and then very oi
