Words are weapons in the war of ideas. This World War II era poster by Anton Otto Fischer from 1943 was meant to show the dire consequences of having loose lips. Giving away a military position and having it be intercepted by the enemy was a very real concern. Posters like these before the age of cable news and internet were a very good way of getting messages out to the public.
