She likes the fact that there is so little beauty there that it almost becomes an imaginary backdrop for the viewer to think about what could be there that would make it a lovely place. Old worn brick and concrete block buildings with no architectural beauty fill the alleyway. The only interesting part on the buildings is a little bit of wording that must’ve been from a long time ago and has weathered to the point that it’s almost gone. Yet, in the middle of all this lackluster appearance, a modest little balcony hovers over a garage door. The shadows cast down and give it dimension and an old chair sitting on the porch shows that the inhabitants still like to go outside and enjoy the sunshine regardless of where it is.
