C. 1938 vintage lithographed Dutch metal sign advertising "Burcht Zuurkool" sauerkraut offered by North Holland Canneries. Great image with silhouette of an old city skyline with a castle turret, tower and rooftops. In gold, black, white and orange, all original (no touch-up).  8 11/16 inches by 6 inches. Made by Peter Verburg in the Dutch village of Noordscharwoude, which ceased to exist as a separate municipality after 1941. Good condition, rust around edges, some scratches and stains. Solid original piece. An original sign, NOT a reproduction.
