Spicy Focus Workshop | January 24

Saturday January 24th, 2026 10 am - 12 pm 3075 N Swan Road, Tucson Arizona 85712 Our Spicy Focus workshop aims to explore the most commonly used natural and synthetic spicy materials in perfumery as well as milestone spicy and amber perfumes that made their mark in history. This deep-dive class is designed as a sequel to our original Perfume Literacy class, however, everyone is welcome to join. In this workshop you will learn about: - the most commonly used natural spicy ingredients in perfumery, - extraction methods to obtain natural raw materials from plants, - the most commonly used synthetic spicy ingredients in perfumery, - specific olfactory vocabulary used to describe spicy notes, - milestone spicy and amber perfumes that made their mark in perfumery.This class is taught by Merve Colpan, a graduate of the French perfumery school ISIPCA (Institut supérieur international du parfum, de la cosmétique et de l'aromatique alimentaire) originally founded by Jean-Jacques Guerlain in 1970
