Adult Studio: The Art of Papercutting

TWO DAY STUDIO—Saturdays, October 25 and November 1  Museum Members receive 10% discount; two partial scholarships available for underserved populations; materials included Join us to learn the magical art of paper cutting and create beautiful images and designs cut from a single piece of paper with an X-Acto knife. The inspiration for this workshop comes from Wycinanki, Polish paper cutting, and German paper cutting also known as Scherenschnitte. You will leave this class with an original artwork of your own. All materials included. ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST Mixed media artist Daniel Frisbee creates work in paper cutting, painting, sculpture, and wood burnings. A graduate of Mars Hill University, Daniel has shown at K2 Studio and Mountain Made Contemporary Art Gallery, both in downtown Asheville, Garage on 25 in Fletcher, and Brevard College.   The Asheville Art Museum will award two partial scholarships for underserved populations.
