This stunning ring was made during the Georgian era and it dated 1810! The ring features a snake with a sparkling diamond eye eating its tail in an ouroboros style. The ouroboros is often interpreted as a symbol for eternal cyclic renewal or a cycle of life, death and rebirth. The snake is circling around a stunning amethyst cabochon which pops against the black of the enamel. 14 karat yellow gold Amethyst cabochon Stone Diamond (eye) Black Enamel 3.97 grams Size 6.25, cannot be resized Circa 1810. Original hand engraving inside the ring. No hallmarks. "Thomas Steddy Of 2 Aug, 1810 39" (Bottom line of engraving, I can't tell what's written)
