The Story This sentimental antique locket comes to us from Chester, England circa 1911. Rendered in vibrant 9 karat yellow gold, this sweet locket features a pair of swallows lovingly engraved amidst flowers. Swallows have long held romantic symbolism, representing faithfulness and homecoming. A piece with a swallow was often given to a loved one who set out on a journey. The two swallows on this locket face away from each other on the back of the locket and are happily reunited on the front, reflecting this homecoming journey.
