Florence Fennel - 1 Bulb

Fennel bulb, also known as florence fennel or finocchio, is a root vegetable that is in the carrot family. It is a highly fragrant vegetable that doubles as an herb. Fennel has a licorice-like flavor that is milder and sweeter than anise with grassy floral notes. Fennel is prized for its use as a medicine, food, and insect repellent. It is one of the primary ingredients in making absinthe.   Uses: Raw shaved fennel is an exceptional garnish for grilled foods or as an accent to salads. Fennel pairs exceptionally well with tomato, garlic, and seafood (especially lobster or fish).
