Blue Summer Oriental Rug

Based on an original Asmara painting done in the style of Pompeian Frescoes of ceiling paintings. Yellow-green leaves and flowers in shades of porcelain-blue, persimmon and yellow branch toward the center on a cream and oatmeal, fresco ground. This hand made cut and loop rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the Savonnerie pile weave. We used ancient French dyeing methods to create thousands of shade and texture variations reminiscent of the frescoes of Pompeii. Also available in needlepoint. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Use with a pad.
