Kirov J Oriental Rug

Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan after studying textiles with Russian, Jacobean and Spanish Renaissance influences. The java brown ground is covered by vines and stylized flowers in reds and greens. Fine hand spun wool yarns are dyed by an ancient French method and are hand knotted in a cut and loop weave invented by Asmara. The unique color and texture variations rival antique rugs. Also available in needlepoint. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes. Use with a pad.
