Laffitte CBR Aubusson Rug

Laffitte is inspired by Neoclassical French Empire Savonnerie carpets. A cream field is divided by acanthus leaf bands into four cream cartouches and two blue panels. The four cartouches contain classical Roman motifs and the two blue panels contain a royal shield held by a pair of gold lions with a gold crown above. A circular central medallion encloses an octagonal blue and gold medallion and four lyres. Four dark brown corners contain scrolls of acanthus leaves in rose, blue, gold and beige. Two cream panels containing classical Roman motifs sit between the corners on the width side. A border in blue, navy, rose and gold with an egg and leaf motif provides an architectural frame to this majestic rug. Handmade with ancient French dyeing and weaving methods, this rug has thousands of subtle color shades which make it work with many fabrics.
