Lucia Oriental Rug

Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by a 17th century Italian silk and metal thread brocade. The cornflower blue highlights are an Asmara improvisation, as are the shades of coral and terracotta. Fine hand spun wool yarns are dyed by an ancient French method and are hand knotted in a cut and loop weave invented by Asmara. The unique color and texture variations rival antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes. Use with a pad.
