Malaga Oriental Rug

Based on an original Asmara painting showing the exuberant foliage of the Costa del Sol. Chartreuse, teal, aqua, turquoise and brown vines with blossoms and berries in peach, apricot, orange,  persimmon, russet red, lilac, yellow, gold and blue stretch and curve on a rich cream ground. This hand made cut and loop pile rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the ancient French Savonnerie pile weave. Woven with a complex yarn made up several yarns of different shades, this rug has a unique texture and shading variations reminiscent of rare antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.. Use with a pad.
