Based on an original Asmara painting inspired by an antique French Aubusson rug and the gardens of Provence seen in late spring. Green, teal and aqua vines laden with flowers in rose, red, pink, salmon, lilac, lavender, violet and blue spread out on a cream and ivory ground. Made with fine quality wool yarns this hand made needlepoint rug has many subtle color shades similar to antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes. Used with a pad this rug helps to keep rooms warm in winter, cool in summer and dampen urban noise.
