Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by Roman mosaics discovered near Carthage. Yellow greens, blue greens, sienna, blue, aqua, teal and red snowflake like motifs sit on a yellowish cream background. The rug’s nubby needlepoint texture adds highlights to the colors. Made of a complex yarn consisting of several yarns of different shades, this textured needlepoint rug has subtle variations in colors and texture similar to antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Unlike most other rug makers, Asmara never uses chemical washes. Use with a pad.
