Often used in meditation rooms, Aurora is designed to immerse viewers in waves and washes of atmospheric color. The collection was developed following extensive research in the arts of fabric dyeing — drawing heavily from Shibori and Ombré techniques. Mineral pigments such as ultramarine and indigo are suspended in liquid and transferred by hand to organic linen. Through careful application, an evolving gradient is formed. This process led to the production of sixteen exquisite patterns ranging from simple to complex and delicate to bold. In our travels we are continually struck by the distinctive colors and qualities of light that are unique to geographical regions. Each Aurora pattern is a study in the relationship between light, color, place and mood.
