The QHY990/QHY991 SWIR cameras are scientific short-wavelength infrared cameras equipped with Sony IMX990/IMX991 InGaAs sensors. Let’s explore their features: Sensor and Resolution: Both the QHY990 (monochrome) and QHY991 (color) cameras use the Sony IMX990/IMX991 InGaAs sensor. The sensor has a square pixel array with 5μm x 5μm pixels and provides 1.31M/0.4M effective pixels. These chips have a wide waveband sensitivity range from 0.4μm to 1.7μm with high sensitivity. Quantum efficiency (QE) is up to 77% at 1200nm. Low Noise and High Sensitivity: By using Cu-Cu interconnect technology, the sensors exhibit very low fixed pattern noise (FPN) and a low defect pixel ratio. The QHY990/QHY991 cameras include 25mm filter holders, commonly used for lab applications. The SWIR filter can be easily installed on the camera with a 17.5mm C-mount back focal length (B.F.L.).
