The iCAM462C is built around a Sony IMX462 color sensor, featuring a 1/2.8" imaging area, a 6.5mm diagonal, 2.9um pixel size, and a resolution of 2.1MP (1944x1096). This makes it a go-to option for capturing high-quality planetary images. When it comes to low readout noise, this camera impresses. Tests have shown that the readout noise drops to approximately 0.73e at 350 gain and hovers around 0.7e at 400 gain. Plus, it employs proprietary DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) tech, which scans and corrects for any defective pixels by analyzing dark frames from the camera. One standout feature is the HCG mode that activates automatically when the camera's gain is set at 80 or higher. This mode not only lowers readout noise but also maintains a high dynamic range. The camera's sensitivity peaks between the 800-850nm wavelength, making it an ideal companion for an IR850 or CH4 filter for infrared shots. In terms of performance, when connected to a USB3.0 port and set to full-resolution preview,
