In the 18th century, "laylock" referred to a fashionable shade of purple or lilac. Here is our version of a fashionable "laylock" bonnet. It is made of silk taffeta and trimmed in a wide silk satin ribbon of a corresponding color. Bonnet is unlined, has tie in back for adjustment.
