Wholesale- Handmade Cotton Shiki Futon - shikibuton

This cotton futon is 100% hand made to order in the USA in our New Bedford, MA factory. We have been making and using this design since 1995. Custom sizes available! Our futons are handmade with 90% Cotton with the minimum amount of spun polyester wrapping to meet mandatory Federal Flammability requirements. The cotton is selected by us to be very clean and odor-free. We do not use any boric acid powder or flame retardant chemicals in our futons (as other cheaper futons do). The futon shell is made from 100% unbleached cotton. Our futons are completely hand made in the traditional Japanese style. It takes 2 craftsmen at least 4 hours to complete each futon. They are hand tufted as in Japan and feature ties and tufts on the futon and the corners. Our futon can be used as a mattress topper, directly on the floor (like a Japanese futon) or placed upon a futon frame (we suggest a tatami mat or 1/8 sheet of plywood placed underneath for even weight distribution and comfort-available from an
