Theotokos the Glory of the Universe
This icon of the Theotokos is the exact replica of the original icon found in the Temple of the Chapel dedicated to Saint Paisios in the Holy Monastery Stomiou Konitsas in Greece where Saint Paisios lived from 1958 to 1962. The name "Glory of the Universe" comes from the Dogmatic Theotokion of the First Tone. This part of the hymn is as follows: "Let us extol the Virgin Mary, the glory of the universe. She had human parents and became the mother of the Master. She is the gateway to heaven." This portion of the hymn is inscribed on the lower part of the icon in the original Greek text.
