Voice inflection, pitch, and skillful phrasing result in expressive and distinct voices for both men and women. Both audiobooks are recommended; each offers a performance that is faithful to Austen's witty and subtly ironic style. If only one can be purchased, however, my choice would be Gibson's narration; her rich, formal tone provides the more enjoyable listening experience over a sustained period of time.
