Accuphase PRECISION STEREO CONTROL CENTER C-2410
SOLD The C-2410 inherits the superb design technology of the C-2810, including the improved AAVA (Accuphase Analog Vari-gain Amplifier) volume control with similar specs and configuration. AAVA is a revolutionary concept that takes a radically different approach from conventional volume controls. The result is high performance and sound quality far exceeding conventional designs. Logic-controlled relays assure high sound quality and long-term reliability EXT PRE function allows use of external preamplifier Selectable preamp gain Independent phase selection for each input position Dedicated headphone amplifier optimized for sound quality Aluminum-base side panels with persimmons wood finish provide a striking visual appeal Tone controls using summing active filters for highest sound quality The C-2410 preamplifier from Accuphase is a big, full size device. It is as big as the integrated amplifier E-213, its weight is also nearly the same, what tells much about the construction of the preamplifier. In the front we have two large knobs – one for the volume control and one for input selection, and an acrylic plate covering the following indicators: output on indicator; absolute phase indicator on the outputs (on the XLR socket the “hot” pin is the nr “3”); indication of activation of timbre controls; mono mode indication, usable while listening to mono LPs; tape monitoring indication; subsonic filter cutting bass below 10Hz indicator (useful for LPs); MC cartridge load: 10-30-100Ω; loudness; power reduction indicator There is also a green back lit logo of the company. Below, hidden behind a tab, we find more controls. There is also a 6.3” jack for the headphones. We have: output selector; treble and bass regulation; balance; absolute phase trigger; mono/stereo switch; MC cartridge load selector; subsonic filter; MM and MC cartridge amplification selection: MM 30-36dB and MC 62-68dB unit amplification selector: 12-18-24 dB.
