aprox 7" tall carved wood, paint these figures come from the small village of Kinhal in Karnataka the lightweight wood used to carve them is called Polki Marra, grown in and around the village after carving, they are coated a primer called kitta, made of strips of jute, sawdust and tamarind paste their jewelry is created with a mixture of pebble powder paste and small pieces of cotton over all this paint and varnish are applied this item cannot be returned
