Starry Night Necklace

This bat pendant showcases the distinctive crazing effect characteristic of Raku firing. As the piece is pulled from the red-hot kiln, the glaze audibly crackles before being carefully placed into a reduction chamber. The oxygen-deprived environment enhances the metallic tones present in some glazes while giving the bare clay on the back a charcoal appearance.
