Bow & Arrow Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2023

If you know me well you know Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite variety in the WV.  It's been a battle finding and keeping good fruit over the years and committing the Fool's Gold meant that I went without a varietal bottling for several years.  The stok-age is high.  Fermented and aged in wood like all the best versions.  (Ask me about feeling like I had come home when I first tasted SB in the cellars of Styria.) Jasmine tea, dried sweet grass, grilled pineapple core - these are the classic markers for my style of WV SB.  Only 99 cases produced. - winemaker Scott Frank Bow & Arrow, our neighbor in The Bindery building, is far from your typical Oregon winery. Instead of focusing on Pinot noir (and Pinot gris), they search the state for great vineyard sources of Gamay, Melon, Sauvignon blanc, and Cabernet Franc. They just might take over the world using tongue-in-cheek wine names, ultra-modest prices, and lip-smacking wines.
