For all the acclaim that some of the single vineyards receive, our go-to wine multiple vintages running is Clay Court. Expressing the red-fruited side of Elk Cove (and we love our red-fruited Pinots), it is consistently the most elegant wine in their fantastic line-up. We love its heart of gorgeous cherry, its Douglas-fir-forest-in-fall aromas, its wonderful silky-creamy texture and mounting intensity. -Marcus 2021 vintage notes 93 points Wine Spectator: "Expressive and vibrant, with pretty rose petal and raspberry aromas that open to multilayered orange peel and stony mineral accents.
