The spectacular Sojeau vineyard sits on a 650 foot bench on the western flank of the Eola-Amity Hills. It stares directly into the Van Duzer Corridor, the gap in the Coast Range which funnels cool Pacific Ocean air into the valley, imbuing Sojeau vineyard Pinot Noirs with unmistakable energy. Evesham's ‘23 Sojeau is dark and dense with blackberry, plum, and black cherry fruit intertwining with clove-studded orange and violet accents. 2022 vintage notes 94 points Paul Gregutt: "Garnering acclaim from a number of high profile producers, the Sojeau vineyard here puts the flash on bright, energetic raspberry fruit, orange-tinged acids, sandalwood, breakfast tea and a trailing finish with a touch of cranberry scones. Still quite young and already delicious, prime drinking for this wine would be the first half of the 2030s."
