Vintage Carved Wooden Ashtray and Cigarette Box circa 1940s

Vintage ashtray combined with a cigarette box, made from thermally treated wood in the 1940s. The box and the ashtray have intricate carvings of deer. The cigarette box has a removable lid. This piece in excellent vintage condition, appears to be unused. Wood has a beautiful rich color. There is an inscription on the side of the cigarette box that says 'New York Thruway.'  Measurements: Total length: 8" (20.5 cm). Total width: 5" (12.5 cm). Cigarette box measures 3.25" x 4.25" (8 x 11 cm). Ashtray's diameter: 3.75" (9.5 cm). Weight: 17.9 oz (508 gr).
