He was a painter of flowers, a watercolorist and a lithographer. He was best known for his still life floral paintings and was a master of the large canvas. Today, Capeinick is considered one of the finest Belgian floral painters of his time. He studied at the Ghent Academy of Fine Arts with other well known Belgian artists, E.
