Manufacturer: ParagonModel Number: 163 RH Date Sold:  November 29th, 2016 Sold on Ebay for: $2650.00   A Big and Beautiful WWI Mahogany and Brass display propeller from Paragon of Baltimore, MD for the Navy Curtiss H-16 flying boat with the Liberty 12 engine in Excellent Condition.This wonderful propeller features 10 laminations of Mahogany, nice brass tips, extensive engravings, beautiful wood grain and finish. The 8 bolt holes match the Liberty 12 engine (water-cooled V-12 cylinder making 375-450HP, one of the largest engines of WWI). The Navy anchor symbol shows military usage for WWI. We believe this propeller was manufactured around 1918-19. The Curtiss H-16 was a long range flying boat used for submarine patrol and coastal search and rescue. Paragon was a Baltimore based based propeller manufacturer that was one of the premier manufacturers during the war.
